Welcome to Trade Kids' Gear

My name is Tracy, and I am a Mum of two pre-school girls' based in Invercargill.

I came up with the concept of swapping kids gear, when I looked at the pile of clothes that my daughters' had outgrown very quickly!  Rather than throw it out or give it away, it occurred to me that there must be other Mums' in the same situation; and why not swap with them?  I figured the internet would be the obvious choice to reach as many parents' as possible, and so in August 2008 Trade Kids' Gear was born.

Trade Kids' Gear is a website that allows NZ parents' to swap kids' clothes, toys and accessories online. It works on a points system, a cost effective way to replace & recycle your kids' gear as they grow.

Membership is free, and the listing fees are minimal to make the website an affordable option for New Zealand families.
